Chaser or Aristo? looking to let go of my 180

i'm looking for something to replace my 180 - it gets kind of awkard rocking up to meet clients and get them to jump in a set of recaros...plus i'm getting to that point where i'd like something newer and more comfortable with abit of space for a babyseat in a year or so....as such i'm looking into what my options are. It seems to have come down to either a toyota JZX100 chaser or an aristo...in auto (so the wife can drive it)
can ask you guys for some advice as to what is "better" I like the look of the chaser, it looks slicker to me than the aristo....plus it looks to be more nible, so i'm leaning towards chaser at the moment.
is it fair to comare these cars or are these two cars legues apart? the aristo reads to be of better build as its basically a lexus?
aftermarket support seems to lean to the chaser as well as coils,FM and exhaust will definately be done on whichever car i get.
hope i dont sound like too much of a n00b but any other info like how theyare on petrol would help me greatly
thanks fellas

Chaser is more a sports sedan whereas aristo is a luxury cruiser.
if you want something nice to pick up clients etc id say aristo with leather,
theres plenty of aftermarket support for both as both are hugely popular in japan..
the only hard decision is do you want 1jz VVTI or 2jzgte

On the other hand the Aristo is a lot of luxury for your dollar. It to can be found with a gated shift auto for that manual experience. And in my opinion the Aristo has a much better interior with leather trims(on some models) and electric everything which can be great when working a pain if broken. They also have a very comfortable ride and not as spungy as you would think if the suspension is in good condition. And I guess it would do everything the Chaser would do just a lil more laboured.
So if your clients are other car enthusiasts than I think the Chasers the go but if your clients are business type than I would go the Aristo.
Good luck.

I just can't stand the styling on those. Aristo is a bit of an eyesore to me as well the chaser's are rather nice to look at although looks wouldn't be the only selling point i have never been in an Aristo or a Y34 so i can't say what they are like inside how they feel ect. although riding in the chaser from my Silvia felt like i was riding on a cloud so comfy lol

You stated you wanted a 'sports sedan' then the ONLY choice is a Chaser.
All the comments about the interior's being better in a Chaser is fairly rubbish though.
Remember that a JZS147 aristo is a MUCH older vehicle design BUT the interior is far superior. The seats, the construction, the sound deadening. They hold up VERY well for an ol girl if they are looked after right.
They can also make a GREAT cruiser/bruiser when modified right. Doesnt take much coin to get them into the 13 flat mark.
If you are going to buy an auto, i would suggest a nice clean low KM aristo.
If you are going to go Manual, i would suggest a chaser, as this is the only thing that would make it a 'sports sedan' really.
