Engine: 1UZ-FE Lexus 4L Quad Cam V8, Forged Internals, 6 Bolt Mains, all from factory :D

Exhaust: Backyard job... 2 2.5inch from stock headers into dual tip single at end.

Suspension: Stock fronts, MA61 Supra with 1" drop rears (to be changed)

Wheels: 16" Antera wheels (Dunno what model, couldn't find them on the net) 205s. (On the look out for some new rims)

Modifications: Engine Conversion (obv), W58 5spd Supra box, Wolf 3D V4 ECU with Hand Controller, Walboro fuel pump (Dunno which one), 300ZX TT 4 piston calipers, Exedy Heavy duty pressure plate, Dyna clutch, Truetrac Torsen 4.11 LSD, Momo Wheel. Rebuilt motor, with slightly thicker Cometic Stainless Steel Head gaskets.

Stereo Audio / Visual: JVC DVD unit, Kenwood 4 chan amp running momo 6x9s and JL front splits. Other amp running 12" Clarion 500w sub.

Estimated Power: When it gets it's proper tune it should be about 170rwkw with torque to boot :D May supercharge later if it's not quick enough hehe

New vids which I took today (after my mate putting us up a bank drifting round a corner =x) Just to give people some idea :)

14 sec (taking off, outside car) was a bit wet...

did it take much mods to fit the V8? what type of bellhousing/clutch set up did you use?

Errrm I'm not exactly sure, bought as is, but I got all the original receipts from Victoria where it was done. It's not that hard it's a pretty popular conversion, the sump is the biggest drama because it hits the crossmember, but the 1uz from a soarer is rear setup, celsiors and crown is a front setup so they don't work and have to be modified. the soarer one fits in good, no sump mods. I dunno what bellhousing setup is in it, but it would most likley be from either dellows or castlemaine rod shop, they have a kit to suit the W58 Supra box and the R154 Turbo box as well. This one only has the W58 which is only good for around 300HP, which is a perfect match at present, but I got a supercharger lined up and planning to run intercooled 10psi with it, so the torque will pretty much double, so it'll be faily interesting to see how the box holds up, if it dies i'll bite the bullet and get an r154 setup, should be easy cause all the hard work has been done (pedal housing etc.). Getting the engine in is easy, The manual setup is the difficult part, but this one is sweeeet :D Just need an LSD now hehe. Locker would be bad, I'd kill myself quickly

Update: I now have a supra LSD ready to go in, and I got my Eaton m90 supercharger yesterday in awesome condition. A Couple of months and i should have the first 5spd 1uz supercharged Cressida with aftermarket standalone ECU =] .

Don't know how things are going to go tho. My LSD ratio is out of an NA ma70 which means it's a 4.3 diff ratio lol. Put about 500nm of torque through that on 7" tyres...

Big changes. Just ordered a Truetrac LSD centre for my existing diff (4.11) so that should be here next week. Also going Turbo now instead of supercharging. Will have that in a few weeks.

Selling m90 if anyone wants to buy it :)

Build specs as follows:

GT35/40R dual ball bearing turbo (off the XR6 Turbo, 4L as well :) running 10psi
ARP studs
Cometic Head gaskets
Bigger Injectors (flowed/tested etc.)
Big front mount intercooler (600x300 i think...)

Estimated power = ~520HP at the fly or around 300rwkw

:D

Update. Did a head gasket about 2 months ago, so Turbo plans went out the window =[. Just had the engine and box out, fixed all the wiring, there was a lot of dodgey stuff. So this is how the car is at the moment

Cometic Metal Head Gaskets (For possible future use :D)
New bearings/belts/Seals in everything, motor and box
New throwout bearing on gearbox
New Exedy Heavy duty pressure plate and Dyna clutch (instead of standard toyota items that were in it, and consequently worn and slipping)
Brand New Truetrac LSD installed :D
Apexi POD installed
New temp sender to the wolf instead of the OIL SWITCH that was in the engine instead!

This was the car yesterday:
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=y_kMmr9R230

So got it all bac k in the car and guess what. Water leaking out the head gasket (&%^$*&!%^#$(!!!
So back to the guy who rebuilt it to pull it down and build it again and pressure test it. So another 2 weeks at least till i get to test it out properly. Gonna get my mate to take it round the drift track and see how it goes :D Needs new tyres anyways hehe. Also talked ot my mate and he worked out a super easy/cheap way to turbo/intercool it going twin. Just needs a tune with the wolf! If anyone knows how... haha

Back on the road :D With temperature problems :(
Replaced leaky heater hose. Drove back fromt he sunny coast today alright. Truetrac works good btw :D
APPARENTLY my Wolf is giving me inaccurate temp readings. On the way home it sat around 60 degrees, usually below, so there's something fishy... Going to get it checked out this arvo hopefully... I think it's like 20 degrees out or something... Which would explain why it got to 91 degrees the other day, it spewed coolant everywhere...

When I get my new springs, and maybe a set of skid rims i'll give it to my mate to see how it goes round the drift track. I'm hoping it will make enough power.

Also, I'm told I don't have a MAF sensor anymore cause the Wolf runs a MAP sensor. Would hooking up oxygen sensors on exhaust help Wolf ECU to self correct a rather rich tune, including cold start? It's way better than it used to be with a temp sender hooked up to the wolf now instead of an oil switch... But yer. Any help is appreciated hehe

haha i love this car , one of best my mate used to own this thing back in the day , shame what happened to it with the last owner , it also used to have a welded diff , also had some tempreture issues when it was getting driven hard but it still had the standard cressida radiator , so if thats still there i would recommend going somthing bigger , driving this car made me buy a cressida haha.

1UZ is way more un-common compared to the typical JZ swap. Nice build mate, one of the cleanest sleeper's I've seen, love it.
